Had my second shoot with Alan at Icon Studio and it was as much fun as the first! I love Alan's use of lighting, gong against the norm, trying out things which shouldn't work but end up making the most awesome and different shots. I would definitely recommend Alan to everyone, he really makes you feel at ease and communicates well pre-shoot and during the shoot!

I had a fab shoot with Alan on Monday.

He made me feel very welcome in his studio, was full of ideas and I felt completely at ease.

Alan has a great knowledge of body language and his direction, even if only to tell me to move turn my head the opposite way, had a great outcome on the photos.

Alan is really knows his stuff and I would definitely recommend him.

I had a fantastic shoot with Alan last week. He was very welcoming and made me feel totally at ease. We managed to achieve a great variety of looks with the help of different lighting set ups and the studios vintage props. As well as getting some beautiful shots I also learnt a lot of the technical side of photography from Alan which I found really interesting. I would definitely recommend Icon studio and I look forward to shooting there again soon. :-)

I was really looking forward to my shoot with Alan today, knowing that it would be Hollywood vintage glamour followed by a Elvgren/Vargas pinup inspired shoot. The time flew by and I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it! Alan is very knowledgable and professional but very relaxed and I felt completely comfortable with him. His studio is so well equipped and offers an amazing environment to shoot in. Having been shown the pictures throughout, I cannot wait to see the final results! I would really recommend working with Alan and using his studio.

well what can i say,

was impressed when i got to icon studio as it looked very professional and some great backgrounds/ funiture.

alan is very poliet and professional, felt very comfortable around him at all times.

gives some great tips and has good direction.

one of the best photographers i have worked with and would highly recommend to anyone!!

would love to have the chance to work with alan again soon in the future.

Excellent shoot at Icon Studio. Alan has a great range of lighting options and props (especially for the 50s style shoot I was doing), all of which he knows inside out and can provide plenty of advice to save rummaging through them. He was also invaluable in setting up each set and lighting I wanted in advance, making the shoot much more productive and leaving me to concentrate on the shot in hand. He was unobtrusive, yet always at hand to hold a reflector or offer advice on tricky shots to ensure that I go the most from the day. I highly recommend him and the studio.

Had another brilliant shoot on Friday with Alan at Icon studios!

Brilliant lighting and costume was provided. I we definitely achieved the style that we were after! :)

Hopefully I will be back again to shoot another style soon!

Had lots of fun and will recommend to anyone :)

The studio boasts a vast array of lights modifiers etc. - far more than can normally be found. This is complemented by a studio space cleverly arranged with different backgrounds. Above all there is a good variety of props and some costumes which was an added bonus.

Allan, the owner was on hand but not intrusive and his musical taste will appeal to the more mature (over 25) photographer.

Highly recommended.

This was my 2nd shoot at the studio. We'll situated the studio is spacious with a number of interesting sets and back drops. Alan was very helpful giving advise and helping with the lighting. As good a studio as there is I would recommend to anyone from beginner to more advanced. Many Thanks. Neil

i came to icon studio last week for my first shoot there , what a Lovely studio it is !!

so much to offer for all styles of photography, as well as help on hand ,

i felt very comfortable and relaxed and was offered tea/coffee biscuits regular which was nice

i would highly recommend this studio

Had a shoot with Alan last week.. he made me feel comfortable straight away and was professional the whole time. we looked through the ideas that I had and started to go through them and got some really great photos. I would happily work with Alan again. and would defiantly recommend Alan.

I worked with Alan recently and I must say I was very impressed by the passion in which he displayed in his work. I viewed his portfolio a few times before the shoot and thought his images had a real edge to them.

We had great contact before the shoot which really helped, he made me feel very comfortable, relaxed and directed me well when needed he was a total professional at all times.

Alan had some great ideas and always listened to mine,together we achieved amazing results.

Alan is a photographer that has inspired me to continue modelling and I would love to shoot with him again very soon.

I had a shoot with a photographer at Icon Studio a couple of days ago, and I'm glad I had the opportunity to discover this little gem of a place! It's very convenient as it's so near the motorway, yet feels tucked away so there's nothing to disturb you. The facilities are good, with plenty of different sets and some truly lovely furniture (I want those steps!). Alan is a great bloke, with a fab taste in music too!

Used Icon Studio for the first time and will cerrtainly be back. It is ideally located, just off Junction 22 on the M5, and has excellent facilities and equipment as well as plenty of space. The owner, Alan, is extremely knowledgeable and is on hand to provide a complete technical back up leaving the photographer and model to work without interruption. A great environment!

I have shot with Alan twice now with a view of working with him again in future. Alan made sure I felt comfortable and produced some awesome shots, I found that he had a unique ability to relate to me, so much that I brought my 4 month old son to have a shoot also,

I would like to thank Alan for inviting me to his studio for a shoot .... it was great Alan has clear ideas on what he would like to achieve and gives excellent direction, but is also happy to work with model input. Alan was very welcoming on arrival and made sure I was ok for refreshments and was warm enough. The studio was an amazing set up with a lovely dressing room. I felt very relaxed during the shoot and really enjoyed it. Look forward to the next time. :-)

I had a 1930s style shoot with Alan in September and what a lovely man he is. Great comms beforehand, lovely studio, lots if ideas, great wardrobe choices & chocolate!! We had a great time and have some fab images. Highly recommended. Thanks again Alan :)

Was an absolute delight to work with this lovely photographer. Full of ideas and creations. Great communications as well. He has a fab spacious and warm studio with many different back grounds props etc. he also had a very goo wardrobe selection. Would highly recommend and look forward to future work with him
