Bad Dolly

Yesterday I had my first shoot with Alan at his beautiful home studio. Alan is so professional and really friendly, he had loads of ideas and made me feel super relaxed during the shoot.

Alan is great with light and from what I saw on the back of the camera the images were beautifully sharp and varied. I really enjoyed our fun afternoon shooting and would highly recommend Alan to any other models.

I had my second shoot with Alan last week at his beautiful home studio and it was fabulous!

Alan is lovely to work with and the images from what I saw from the back of the camera were fantastic. Alan is chatty and receptive of my ideas as well as giving great direction in terms of posing and creative ideas that were really well executed! Pre shoot communication was on point! I knew exactly what he was looking for and what he wanted to get from our shoot.

Alan picked me up from the station in his very lovely car and was a true old fashioned gentleman.

Alan is an absolute delight to work with. Very attentive too, made me lots of nice coffee which is always a bonus. We worked very well together and the conversation was always flowing. He also has an extremely beautiful very home studio too. You can tell he's very passionate about his photography.

I look forward to alan inviting me back for another shoot!

I had my first shoot with Alan last week and from start to end the experience was great. Alan's communication is second to none and from the start I could tell he would be lovely to work with! He was derailed, clear and just really easy to set something up with. On the day he couldn't be more accommodating and was enjoyable to be around! His home studio is a stunning space and he came with ideas of how we could use it and different things we could shoot. Couldn't reccomend Alan higher enough - very professional, considerate and a great photographer :)

I had a fantastic shoot with Alan at his beautiful home studio in Kent. Pre-comms were superb and I knew what to expect on the day in terms of styles and the types of clothing to bring as well as hair/makeup preferences. Alan is a highly professional and creative photographer and is friendly and easy to get along with. His home studio is of a lovely size and is well equipped with high quality equipment. Alan works at a relaxed yet productive pace and the images on the back of the camera were amazing! Alan experimented with different camera angles and set ups and the results were fantastic! A thoroughly enjoyable shoot! Highly recommended and looking forward to working with him again.

Im so happy Alan got in touch, I was planning to tour Kent anyway and it was a lovely introduction. I felt comfortable with Alan straight away (thanks to fantastic pre comms) and he was such a wonderful host! As well as being courteous, professional and easy to talk to :-)

Alan put me up to stay (as was easier for me to reach my work the next day from his) in his absolutely beautiful modern home. The room was gorgeous and spacious and he kept me fed and watered throughout.

As for the studio!! Amazing! One of the nicest home studios about. Choice of backdrops, pro lighting and blackout and plenty props too. We did some location shooting too which was super fun, Alan made sure I didnt get cold and I would of happily kept on shooting with him and time just seemed to pass so quickly.

Thank you Alan. I love the shots Ive seen on the camera and Id love to work with you again :-D

I worked with Alan when my tour took me to Kent. Pre comms were excellent so I was all packed and ready to rock. Upon meeting Alan who kindly picked me up from the station, he was a friendly, charming gentleman.

On shoot he was professional throughout and his studio was well equippped, war, and comfortable, our time together flew by and I think we got some really good shots.

Would happily work with him again :)

One more stupendous photoshoot in the bag! I love working with Alan... It has been so amazing striking the team rapport over the course of working together and seeing Alan's style flourish as he really has an eye to inject beauty and life into his images. I love what we create each time we work together and I think he would work his photographic talent to the best of his abilities in any situation and personally: I cannot recommend him enough for being a fabulous creative team-spirit and lovely company as well. :)

We had another shoot at Joel Hicks photographic this time, it was fun because there were some totally new sets to have a play with which meant we were able to work some epic diversity into the day. Alan: as always took extra care to work the light to the best of each set... once again there were no end of challenges with natural light and balancing flash but Alan has this off to a tee now and always puts the best amounts of care and attention to get the moment right. It's so rewarding to see the lovely images on the back of the camera then, the edits are even more lovely up on the big screen in full glory! :) Inside/outside with controlled and natural light... A challenge is never too much for Alan, he know his goal finish with the images and works tirelessly to achieve it. There's an art to this photography thing, and Alan has it beautifully!

Yet again: we laughed, we drank tea/coffee at a lovely relaxed and positively productive pace. There is never any stress working with Alan and he's got to be the nicest person any model/client could hope to work with: his temperament is totally hard working and helpful and he will value everyone on a set to the maximum. Thank you again Alan, the pictures we have created over the many shoots just get better and better... it's always a true blast working together. :) Roll on the next time.

Alan and I had already had a truly prolific two shoots in a short space of time... So when we booked a 3rd one in for Joel Hicks Photographic which was going to be a very exciting challenge with natural light I was so excited! It wasn't until some of the stunning images popped up all edited in their outstanding glory that it hit me: I got so sucked into a rediculously busy schedule that i had not written him the gigantic reference that was due! He is such a patient and kind hearted gentleman, and that is one of the reasons I really enjoy working together. :D No matter where the creative inspiration takes us, we always seem to get lovely results - Alan is so enthused by inspiration and this is the factor and the, secret to our productivity. He's still relatively new to the whole shooting models schene (not literally!) :P but he picks up lighting and the effect it has so quickly. We had quite strong sunshine to contend with that day in Leicestershire which can be a photographers worst nightmare but I genuinely think we've produced some of our best work yet! Alan is a natural at bringing out the beauty in model's, he really is! :)

Another merit of Alan is that he is always pristine with his communication and I cannot stress how much of a godsend that is - even though may not be able to get back to him equally as quickly with my insane shoot/work patterns, Alan will always confirm things promptly and also keep me informed every step of the way Re: arrangements and this has always been the case. He's got the professionalism of a professional photographer plus 10-star manners. I could never imagine anyone not getting alone with Alan, he is so lovely and we never fail to have a good laugh when we shoot. :)

Really looking forward to getting our next shoot underway when I'm due to venture South again. It's an addictive process when you get a really nice regular working rapport with someone because it shows in the images, they shine with epic-ness that little bit more each time. :D

I had my first shoot with Alan a few weeks ago when I embarked on my first proper tour to Kent: I was so pleased that we were able to work a shoot in because he had some wonderful ideas and sensational enthusiasm despite not having done a great deal of model photography work up to now. It was a true delight seeing the results come back looking so lovely, definitely one of those truly rewarding shoots where you just want to high-fives again and again. :D

Alan was nothing but a star from the outset, we communicated both on PurplePort and text messaging because I had a number of hectic trips during the time that we were discussing ideas but he was always clear and concise in what he wanted which was a true help to me on the day. His attention to detail deserves so much praise: each set we did there was creative experimentation with lighting and angles and if something didn't work Alan fixed it in no time at all. It was productivity from the word go... we shot at Tim's cottage where I was based during my stay and only really focused in one room because the rapport between us was so good and we were getting stupendous results just by using each others innovation and inspiration. I am always so excited about shoots where photographers welcome my input as well - this is exactly how it was when I was shooting with Alan and the finished shots are magic!

I cannot recommend him highly enough! He is polite and friendly with a lovely character: we had gallons on fun at the same time as throwing out one corking image after another so it was literally win-win all round! I can safely say that he makes models feel so comfortable - you won't find a more respectful gentleman who is so passionate about his work. Already looking forward to our next shoot in (hopefully) a couple of months time!

I met Alan a few years back on a shoot at an aircraft museum. It was a vintage style shoot which was great to work with Alan on. I can see he has captured these great images in the lovely style and I am very pleased to see him on here. I hope we can shoot again soon. :)
