Genna.Models

Alan is a friendly and bubbly photographer who I personally feel very comfortable to be around.

He is very chatty, so you won't fall short of chat at any time that's for sure!

This shoot was very interesting but most challenging for me.

The purpose of the shoot was to create some clean, basic head shots to update my agency profile images, apply to more agencies, and to show me as a model in my portfolio without the fancy clothes, props, makeup and accessories.

We did a lot of facial muscle retraining. Consciously focusing and working on using different expressions and muscles in the face to achieve a totally different look to what I usually deliver.

Some of the looks were soft, feminine, vulnerable, and "girl next door" type of looks.

Doing this meant Stepping out of my comfort zone, but Alan made this possible and was very helpful in doing so.

Looking forward to image selection and seeing what we have produced.

Madame Cerise

I had worked with Alan briefly on a group shoot that he assisted with back in March, but this was my first 1:1 shoot. We planned some very basic portfolio building shots at his new studio, but we both had so many creative ideas that it all went out the window and Alan got some great shots of me using gels. We spent a lot of the time chatting away and the shoot was relaxed, fun and Alan was respectful throughout which is always the most important part of any shoot! Already planning to regularly shoot together and get through our growing list of ideas!

I had a shoot with Alan at Bourne Valley Nature Reserve, we got some amazing images and he gave me some incredible tips. Alan had attended my pin up group shoot at Branded Studios. Not only was Alan one of the photographers photographing me at the event, Alan was assisting with lighting, and it was clear that he is confident and also very easy to get along with, helping other photographers at the event. I am looking forward to seeing the images that Alan has taken, as he has very kindly offered to send me some images over, and I would love the opportunity to work with him again both at future events and for specific projects together. I feel Alan would put models at ease and be very helpful and accommodating, from the experience I had with him.
