Had a wonderful portrait and ballet shoot with Alan, using my home yesterday. I was really lucky to get the chance to work with him, as he was only in the UK for a few days and luckily I was free. As soon as I saw his message, I dashed out and got pastries, hoovered the house, put some make-up on and then laid out far too many outfits haha Alan has a lovely warm, chatty personality and I felt very much at ease straight away.

As well as his photographic skills, Alan is a very kind and considerate person and also incredibly knowledgeable about the world. It’s always nice to learn new things when you meet someone. I’d laid out just about every outfit I had, from leotards, tutus, lingerie, corsets, sheer, lace, dresses to cover all possibilities. Alan told me he was particularly interested in colourful portraits, so we went with some bright turquoise and citrus yellow dresses I had. Next, we moved on to ballet poses on pointe. We tried out one of my belly dancing style dance costumes I’d sewn in hot pink and then a more classic ballet look with a long sheer white tutu with a leotard. I especially loved experimenting with the movement shots and Alan was extremely skilled at capturing them!

I really hope I get the chance to work with Alan again, if he’s over in the uk, and can very highly recommend him to any model. Thank you for a wonderful day x
