Alacrity

An aspiring polymath,

I seek to grow as an artist. By nature I am a very science minded individual. As I approached a career change from physical therapy into technology, I took up painting, illustration, and photography as a personal challenge. I discovered that I have an innate talent for recognizing beauty through the lens of my analytical mind. In my art, I try to capture beauty through juxtaposition of symmetry and asymmetry, contrast of light with shadow, and subtle color allusion cast apart from the source. Artistically, my main interests are the human form, expressions of complex emotion, and other forms of subtle natural beauty. My mediums are acrylic paint, charcoal and graphite, pastel, and photography.
