Aardwolf Studios, Sheffield

Formerly the management canteen for the steel industry in Sheffield, the studio offers 3,000 squ feet of shooting space sub-divided into 5 independent studios which offer no 'light bleed' across each other.

STUDIO HIRE AT £25/HOUR:

SUMMER 2024 DISCOUNT, 3 HOURS FOR £60* (subsequent hours at £25).

3,000 squ feet including lighting, props and support when wanted.

The studio is split into 4 independent separate studios (with no light bleed) all with different sets, including retro sets, bedroom, western style, a shower is available plus large kitchen/lounge too.

The large white studio has an infinity curve a green screen and a heavy light absorbent black screen. 

The lighting available consists of:

                           6 x Elinchrom: 2 with 5' strip diffusers, and 4 others with various modifiers.

                           4 x Bowens 500, an adjustable boom arm, beauty dishes, a pair of large octaboxes.

                            1 x Godox 400 with deep parabolic.

                           The white studio has two fixed 750w Courtney, one with a snoot, the other has a spill for rear lighting.

                           Also, two pixapro 500's and two interfit 300's.

At additional cost there is a set of 4 high powered professional standard daylight balanced LED's and an Elinchrom pack light with 1200 head.

A wide range of props and clothing available, just in case you need something.

Always someone on hand to give free help/advice with your lighting needs.

There is a selection of coloured gells. There is a wide range of props, including clothing, chairs, tin baths, screens and dressing tables, a roll top bath is also available (no water).

The building is 100 years old and the studio is located on the first floor, unfortunately, there is no wheelchair access.

The studio has a large free car park shared with Allen Upholstery.

Sheffield City centre operates a ULEZ zone for commercial vehicles only not private cars, the studio is not within the zone if you come in via Meadowhall. 

The studio has a 'NO SMOKING' policy inside the building, this is an insurance requirement due to the manufacturing process downstairs.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

• The large white studio has 4 metre high ceiling and measures 6 metres by 10 metres into an infinity curve.  It also contain two wallpapered walls, one with coloured wooden planks the other has a blue wood panel effect.  Theres also a green screen and full height black heavy material backdrop.
• The 'dark' studio has a western style set, corrugated steel wall, wooden plank wall, wooden door wall, muslin sheeting wall, stone effect wall and a red floor.
• The bedroom set has 4 different wallpaper walls with a double bed and various headboards and bedding, a white dressing table and a grey carpet.
• Retro set one has a  black and white checked floor with a retro settee with old dressing table, a kitchen chair and table.
• Retro set two has a groovy purple wall, a retro lounge with fireplace and a retro 1980 room set.
• The large changing room with several long mirrors can also be used as a set.
• There is a kitchen area with breakfast bar, 4 set breakfast table with red chairs, large settee and concertina doors, which can also be used.
• The studio has a non shared toilet and a shower.  The shower can also be used to shoot in but it was not built for shooting, so space is at a premium.
