Mike at Focussed on Photography

I was formerly a full time professional portrait photographer. With my business partner Emma we photographed people of all ages from babies to maturity and we loved what we did. We have done a lot of 'bump' photography with pregnant women over the years and often included their male partners too. We also helped would-be models with putting their portfolio's together and did a lot of female portraiture for women who just wanted a collection of beautiful or sexy calendar style images for themselves or their partners. This included some nude studies too. We were also very happy to photograph men but found that most men were not happy in front of a camera. The exceptions were usually great fun to work with!

We worked primarily from our studio in Gillingham but were also happy to venture outside when the weather was good. As well as paid work we sometimes looked for more experienced models on a TF basis in order to develop our lighting skills and just to have some fun away from the pressures of paid work and  we used Purple Port to find like minded models.

I am now retired. However, I still love to get my camera out from time to time and I will always love portrait photography in all its forms.
