This was my third workshop at the Uncommon Studio with Sadie & Johnny and it was every bit as rewarding as the previous encounters.

Johnny has an eye for the unusual and you won’t get any ‘standard’ images here. Rather, you’ll be challenged to look at things differently, experiment and (to use a rather hackneyed phrase) think outside the box. And Sadie is the perfect complement to his imagination. She glides effortlessly from one pose to another and from set to set, all the time adding her own creativity into the mix.

If you haven’t attended one of these yet I would urge you to get along there - you won’t be disappointed.

Just Imagine

I had another fantastic photo shoot with Sadie and JohnnyBoom, this time we worked in monochrome with a 60's theme. It was a very thought-provoking and inspiring day, working with Sadie (and with Johnny's input at my request, as he's a really creative photographer and set designer). We had plenty of laughs, plenty of coffee and tried many different lighting techniques: what a great day it was for learning: I can't wait to get back there to work with Sadie again.

Sadie has been working alongside me at the studio for a while now, what a pleasure it is to realise our visual dreams together ..

Even though i'm slightly biased for obvious reasons, Sadie really is the very best model i could wish for to create with, borrow her for an hour or two at the studio, at a small price of course, to see what she could do with your ideas and portfolio ..

Not for the feint arted, but definitely for the serious creative within ..

I had the pleasure of working with Sadie and Johnny on an all day artistic rope work workshop at f/8 studio on Sunday. Sadie was such a great model to work with - ensuring that you got the shot you had in mind and nothing was too much trouble for her - which considering she was tied up for a lot of the time was fantastic !. If you want to have the opportunity to understand and shoot artistic rope work - then Sadie and Boom are the ones to help you with this - highly recommended :)

I shot Sadie at her studio and found her a joy to work with. Every idea was seized with enthusiasm and nothing was too much trouble. She suggested variations to shots to improve them and was generally helpful all through the shoot.

Sadie and I did a quirky street fashion shoot last week. She was fantastic to work with. The pre-shoot communications were great, and, having agreed on an outdoor wear theme, Sadie came along with a whole wardrobe of outfits and props. The best part, was that Sadie and I were totally on the same page when it came to how we would approach each of the shots - the poses, the locations, the compositions, the looks that we were trying to achieve. And of course she was fun and really easy to get on with. The result was a series of images that I am really pleased with and that made the day hugely worthwhile. Thank you Sadie.

Had a fabulous, short notice, shoot with Sadie today. Armed with just an iPhone we headed into the wilds of Essex. Not only is she an attractive, easy going model. She’s also a pleasure to work with. I look forward to working with her again soon.

What an amazing model; Sadie is so creative and professional in her modelling that it's impossible to not be inspired when working with her. Sadie makes the photographer's job easier, and hence so much more enjoyable, with her relaxed and inventive way of building up each shot.

What a wonderful Geisha girl! Perfectly modeled throughout the day Sadie worked tirelessly to give us togs exactly the poses we wanted, took direction well, all with a sense of humour.

I've wanted to do a shoot with masks as theme a for a while and the very versatile Sadie, who I've worked with before, was a good way to achieve this. The creative input a model brings is crucial and can be the make or break of a shoot.

We discussed the ideas first with some downloaded images, then using the masks, props and costumes Sadie had brought, we got creative!

Sadie is a fun model to work with, professional, enthusiastic and interprets the ideas putting 100% in the shoot.

I highly recommend her. Looking forward to our next shoot.

Yesterday, I joined an event where Sadie was the model. She is an absolute gem. Worked tirelessly and relentlessly throughout the four hours, which then over-run. She created a fun atmosphere but was also totally dedicated to making sure we got the images we wanted. An enjoyable event and she was a joy to be with. Highly recommended.

Just Imagine

Today I was lucky enough to take part in Sadie&Boom’s Creative Portrait Workshop; what an amazing day it was. As befits the workshop title, Sadie is incredibly creative, as well as energetic and enthusiastic. She really goes out of her way to achieve the artistic vision of the photographer, besides bringing her own ideas and suggestions to really bring the images to life. I certainly hope (and intend) to work with Sadie again in the near future, she has left a lasting impression in my photographic inspiration.

Sadie was the model for the Sadie & Boom creative portraiture course I attended.

She was really friendly and helpful during the day. She also has the patience of a saint making sure we were happy with what we had shot. Sadie did all she could to follow our often confusing instructions.

Sadie was obviously our model for the Creative Portraiture Workshop today, the four artists we had with us loved her, Sadie is exemplary in everything she does .. playing the part within our shoot scenarios with her expressionism and flair she offers the camera that certain 'je ne sais quoi', that expression and passion so often missed by others ..

Sadie is on fire at the moment, she deserves respect and revels in being part of real art ..

Recommended to anyone with respect and an actual idea of how to treat a model ..

Our second shoot was a creative tour-de-force at her and Jonny's TheUncommon Studio, with Sadie throwing herself enthusiastically into our full day 'cracked-clay' shoot. Although at the start of what I hope will be a long term creative working partnership, I already feel we have developed a mutual creative trust, happy to explore gritty (in this case literally!) and darker themes, and go with the flow in relaxed free-flowing shoots, comfortable with the fact that not everything will work. On our shoots Sadie is not just a striking and accomplished model (which she is of course), but an active creative contributor, of ideas, props, and concepts. The fact that Sadie is also fantastic company makes shoots flow, and the whole process so enjoyable. Looking forward to the next step in our creative journey. Highly recommended.

Just had my first shoot with Sadie at TheUncommonStudio. Good communication prior to the shoot, although a little slow on my part.

Sadie had lots of different options of outfits to choose from for the two themes we discussed, and gave a feel for how they would work.

Sadie was very easy to work with, she didn't need a lot of direction from me, but was happy to take my suggestions as and when.

I have some great images from the shoot, and Sadie is very easy to get on with and the conversation flowed during the 2 hour shoot.

We have already discussed the theme for our next shoot.

Highly recommended model.
