Somewhere Only We Know

Excuse the "glamorous/fairy tail/magical" attempt at making this album sound special... It is essentially a collection of work with various photographer where I appear in various (usually outdoor) locations. The images within this collection are typically artistic nude/fine art nude, although I try not to categorise too much, because sometimes: the environment is crying out for a different kind of expression - so some might have more of an "erotic" feel or "emotive" or even "narrative" as-opposed to the classical shapes that are associated with "artistic nude." Also - though a lot of the work here is nude, not all of it is and sometimes I do actually wear clothes, again: where it fits. :)

Location work is probably a big strength of mine: I live in Yorkshire so for as long as I've been alive I've always known lush landscapes/hills and nature be just around the corner, or gorgeous coastal areas just beyond an hour away. Something I probably took for granted! But it's not just green-covered hills and the sea that attract me to a shooting spot; it could be a concrete jungle (city) or an urbex site even... I feel that every place has the potential to give out a story, and when I'm modelling within that scene - the energy does radiate through your repertoire as you get into a posing flow. It's also very inspiring when you put together conceptual shoots with a greater styling influence - something which we tackle quite deeply on our Arts Voyage Photographic holidays.

There are also a lot of images in here that depict me doing seemingly crazy shapes/poses in what appears to be dangerous places. I cannot stress how much gratitude I have for the photographers who put their faith in me and allowed me to execute these poses/positions whilst concentrating on getting the shot from their side - and potentially still having the worry in the back of their mind as a natural human response! Though I absolutely adore when I see the results of these more daring exploits, I am completely controlled when I do go to execute them, and would NEVER attempt to get into a position which I thought posed a risk to myself or anyone else. To scaremonger/shock people is not my intention - my intention is to give the photographer a striking picture (safely & confidently). I have not only a significant level of experience & tolerance to the elements for doing this work, but I also train (fitness) daily to ensure that I am strong enough to not only get into these positions, but also get out of them again.
