After Jeanloup Sieff

Jeanloup Sieff’s fashion photographs use a signature wide-angle lens and imaginative style. Working almost exclusively in Black and White, many images were anonymous, and feature visible dodging marks. His work has appeared in Esquire, Harper’s Bazaar, Vogue and Elle. His models include Jane Birkin, Yves St Laurent and Alfred Hitchock among others.

Sieff wrote: "All photography is a moment, of oneself and others, of things and of the world; it is, at one and the same time, the eternalising of an emotion and its erosion. Taking photographs is a strange occupation, daring to want to stop time."
