The Split Kid on the Sussex Downs - A7iii

A brilliant outdoor shoot opportunity for me, the first shoot for Chas, The Split Kid, a very fit and flexible lad, newly arrived on PP. I travelled to near his home where I had identified a couple of potential locations.  The windmill was as expected but then a nearby car park led to some gentle Downland and delightful woods. Exploring those woods led us to a fantastic fallen tree, a split tree for The Split Kid!  Some lovely soft light that October 2020 day too.  Easy for me to claim, but I think this shoot represents another step forward in my portrait photography.

Note: Chas, The Split Kid, the fine subject of this shoot is used to photo editing and digital manipulation for social media and has professional training. On his profile he is posting versions of my photography in what he calls a 'clean Instagram style'.  For me, portrait photography is about character and making a representation of the moment, perhaps because I am also a travel photographer, I will stick to my natural way of seeing the world
