Broken Teddy - Celia
Broken Teddy (by Chrystal Vixen)
Celia pulled the dusty blinds down and turned on the fairy lights, Jacob her Teddy sat patiently on a chair by the bedroom door. She began to take off her clothes slowly, first her bodice came off then the dress was unzipped and round her ankles. She giggled to herself in girly fashion, she had just returned from her latest meeting and was giddy with excitement. She could not wait to tell Jacob how her day had gone, her special friend and confidant. She was about to undo her suspender belt, when she heard it; the silent voice from behind her.
“Pathetic you are so easily bought” she turned quickly towards the voice, no one was there. She turned to see the door was open wide and Jacob was not in his chair. She ran over to the door in her underwear in a fit of hysterics. Where could he be? She saw him literally before she closed the door, that's when she heard it again.
“Tart” was coming from under the bed, she dropped to her knees and there Jacob lay. Unsettled to say the least she grabbed him and hugged him tightly, she had grown quite attached to Jacob; some would say a little too attached. She carried him lovingly over to the window and stood lost in thought, her eyes glistened with a new found purpose.
“It'll never work out you know, how can anyone love someone like you” the voice was laced in venom as the words came out. She pulled Jacob from behind her back and looked at him confused.
“What do you mean Teddy?” she asked, a puzzled look plastered across her face.
“It will happen again, you know it will, you just can't help yourself” she shook her head in defiance.
“No you're wrong, this time will be different, he cares about me; he could love me” an evil chuckle erupted from the teddy bear.
“Stupid girl, who can love something as revolting as you. Do you think he would love you if he saw the real you?” The question was like a stab to her heart. She sunk to the floor, no she would not be defeated this time; she knew this was different.
“I deserve happiness, haven't I done enough to earn it?!” she sobbed, her mood becoming more erratic.
“Of course you do” it cooed condescendingly, her sobbing becoming more hysterical.
“I want this one, he will be my Prince charming, he will save me from this misery” she began to rave as she headed towards the butcher's knife.
“Now Celia don't go doing something you'll regret” Jacob began hesitantly, she dropped to the floor and stopped for a second.
“Why can't I have this?” she questioned as she began carving the blade into the floorboards, Jacob dangled by her side.
“Because of what you did and the promise you made, no take backsies remember” she stabbed the knife into the floor violently. The splinters flicked up into the air as she turned her blade to Jacob, fury and madness in her eyes.
“No. IT WASN'T MY FAULT, I DIDN'T MEAN TO DO, WHY AM I BEING TORTURED. I DON'T WANNA DO THIS ANYMORE” She screamed. In one violent strike she had dismembered Jacob, his head rolled across the floor. Her face turns from anger to horror as she realises what she's done, she tries desperately to piece Jacob back together but her state of mind won't allow it.
“Not again” she sobs, frantically trying to get him back together, till finally she gives up and drops his head. Calmly she takes him over to the neatly set up tea set and places him on the chair next to her. The headless mockery of a teddy bear was now looming over the eerie tea party, she was met with silence with every question and apology. Till finally a voice rose once more from the brand new looking teddy opposite her.
“You know that wont work right, I'm bound to you and I'm not leaving till you keep your promise” the teddy said irritatedly.
“I am sorry but you know how to make me mad” she said apologetically.
“It was the 7th sin so I need seven souls then I can be whole again, till then I will live in your stupid teddy bear” he then let out an evil snigger “good job I had so many teddys”.
“Yes” she nodded and bowed her head to the teddy “your right just 6 more, please forgive me… Little Brother”..
