A Project - Models over 40

I've believed in diversity among models for a good while. Now, I'm deliberately shooting models who are past 40 (or 50, or 60...) with the intention of allowing them to be who they are, and what they are. This may be obviously looking older, or carefully managing their looks.

One model said she'd earned her laughter lines with smiles: that's the way to go, I reckon. But there are some models who enter their forties in their modelling prime, and showing no sign of even slowing down yet, let alone stopping. Some have a high profile, others will be anonymous.

My aim is to shoot in a way that is honest, but also kind to the model, and which allows her to have her own sexuality (or, indeed, lack of it, if that's how she feels). That's generally true, irrespective of whether it's for my project or now, but it is perhaps more applicable to older models. But that's all part of the rich tapestry of life, which I hope to capture in the pictures.

Generally, the project involves a 3 or 4 hour shoot, and I tend to do this at the model's home, if she's happy with that - it allows more of a flavour of her personality and tasted to come through. I'm open to other options, though.
