Thought we had already done this? Must be my age. OK, here goes. I work for a well known 'name', famous for cars - but we don't make cars. Rolls-Royce, the aerospace company. I worked on Marine engines, for Naval ships for about 20 years, but I have worked on the Aero engines, for the last 10. I am a Mechanical Engineer, working on design & development of Control Systems. The engine project I am currently working on recently flew for the first time, hanging off an A380.
So.. next time you fly, if the big round thing under the wing has R-R on it, then it probably has some of my work inside it......!!!

Computer systems engineer, I used to actually fix stuff but now spend most of my time on the phone getting other people to do the fixing for me. Maybe call centre worker would have been more accurate :-(

I'm a full time photographer but used to be in IT and was a company director of a software company based in The City of London for years before this. I now restrict my IT to writing awesome BASH and ImageMagick (among other things) scripts for my workflow.

I work in the head office for a very well known propane and butane gas company as a telemarketing agent..... You will have seen their red cylinders at garages and attached to caravans etc! Not much fun but it pays my bills!
I also work as an actress sometimes. When I can find the elusive auditions and be cast! X

I ride horses, write horror stories (had a couple published), am a punk singer and also a dog behaviourist! All of these i do pretty much unpaid. I am currently looking for a 'proper job', having been off work through ill health for quite a while. So if anyone can offer me a job (will do pretty much anything although I have a degree in Environmental Management and qualifications in dog behaviour).
I've also just started messing with photography also and getting well hooked on it.

Lol. Couldn't be bothered typing it all out again so this is a cut and paste from the first thread on the subject. Russ, any chance of a search facility in the posts, It was a beggar to find?
LOL.
Retired early 10 years ago because I could after 35 years as an engineer in the gas industry, had some health and personal problems shortly after finishing work which kyboshed my intent to set up a consultancy. I now spend my time restoring old Ukrainian military sidecar outfits ( Props?), making and creating things in my home engineering workshop ( If man can make it, I can try to duplicate or repair it) I make a lot of my own camera related accessories as well. Socially, I'm well into the Bike and rally scene and rockgig/event photography for some of the bike organisations and used to freelance for 100% Biker, BSH, OpenHouse, Radio Times, The guitarist etc but my heads a bit too screwed up to get cover written now so I concentrate on the pictures. My workshop doubles up as a studio but Is usually full of bikes so takes a bit of effort to use it. Rattling around on my own in a 3 bed house in North Manchester with plenty of parking space so If anyone wants the odd nights free kipping space round here, I can provide it with reasonable safety precautions taken by both sides. Partners, chaperones , no problem.
Photo inflences , mainly portraitists such as Karsh and Cecil bBaton. Basically , animal, vegetable or mineral, if it looks interesting, I'll take a picture of it.
