Photographer... 06-06-66...My first day at work as a photographic junior straight from school, in an Advertising Photographic Studio in Leeds.
Went freelance October 1973 working from large Photographic Studio connected to an Advertising Agency in Leeds....
Opened my first Studio in Leeds November 1979....
Embraced the digital era with open arms...
The one regret I have is that the digital revolution has brought into my industry inexperienced people, calling themselves professional whos standards and conduct are far from being professional....

Perhaps you should run a class showing them how to think and speak. ;)

On the other hand, it has opened people's eyes as to how easy it all is and that in many cases pros have been conning the punters for years.
Emperor's new clothes & all that.

I was fortunate enough to have been able to retire early from my teaching career (Radio Broadcasting) and have adopted photography as both a creative outlet AND to keep me from going crazy during the day when my wife is still out working. Most of the models with whom I work are her girlfriends. Lucky bloody me! :) My long term goal is to own a gallery wherein I can exhibit the work of fellow photographers and also see it serve multi-purposes as a venue for yoga classes, drum circles and lessons, photographic workshops, a gathering place for the local arts community and the like.

@ TrevorW ... Do you mean having a wife who's girlfriends are models or being retired? And as for it 'being easy', I worked very hard all those years as a prof and am now enjoying the fruits of my labour ... :)

Prior to early retirement last November I was a Civil Servant for 38 years - the last 12 of them as the specialist counter fraud officer for 3 departments but I kept picking up qualifications in other things so I am also an accredited Jiu Jitsu Instructor (Internation level), Tae Kwon Do instructor, a level 2 reiki practitioner, a certificated hypnotherapist, a Master Practitioner in Neuro Linguistic Programming (the stuff Derren Brown and Paul McKenna use), a Job Evaluation and Grading system assessor and one or two other odds and sods I collected over the years.
Mostly I am just a creature of leisure now though. :-)

Data and information management in further education. After a day churning funding calculations and generating bullshit statistics the thought of a shoot is HIGHLY appealing!

Sorry Rogue Master. The comment was supposed to be a light hearted answer to RedCheckers comment on the Emperor’s new clothes.
Hope I didn’t cause any offence to you (or anyone else). Please accept my apologies.

By day I am a technical engineer for a Meter Asset Manager. I design commercial gas infrastructures and design their metering solutions. I also provide technical advice to internal and external customers, and audit commercial gas metering installations.
