Are they still happening?

I was interested in developing remote shoots, possibly orientated towards the erotica / fetish market; but everything seemed to have died post pandemic. I notice that most posts on here are from the lockdown era.

Just wondering what people thought? I'm particularly interested in seeing current work, so any links will be welcome!

I've done several since lockdown, usually to places abroad.

I'm a regular remote shooter and actually host other models remotely if they're not familiar with the concept. I'd say there's still a very big market for them, and as I say, I still do them regularly :)

Yes I am still regularly hosting them in various locations and hosting models at my studio for them also :)

In general, yes. I can't speak for erotica / fetish but it's still happening fairly regularly.

In fact, I had a remote session this morning, and 3 last month. Roughly half of the images in my profile are from remote shoots.

I think this is an untapped market, not properly exploited yet. a targeted marketing campaign is what's needed.

It certainly helps me; I'm 5000+ miles from most of the models in the UK. :)

How do you do a remote shoot? What is it and what is required to do it?

I use The Shutter App, and there are a lot of YouTube videos on how to set it up and use it.

If you have any quest about remote photography using The Shutter app, just contact me!

how do remote shoot images fare in national or world competitions? are they allowed?

StudioOneRemote said, 1731936926

If they are not, for some reason, it would be stated in the rules for that competition. However, with the hundreds and hundreds of "phone" photo groups turning out excellent work, I don't see why they would not be permitted. Getty Images accepts phone images without question. One requirement would be, of course, that YOU took the photo by activating the shutter. That's typically the act that makes you the "author" of the work.
