This was shot in total darkness, with the make up artist holding up a candle next to me as the single light source.

What you don’t see in this image is my purple tarot cloth, crystals and other items that were in front of me and which I had assembled over the preceding weeks in order to focus on the mood that I intended to convey.

I feel it worked; this shot was in the last set after a full day shooting outdoors by the river and and in bright grassy areas - now it was time for us to enter the night and live by its rules.
