I think it's about time PP had an adult content FPI. There is so many great shots that are not being recognised, presumably because of the content.
Take as an example Aeneas image of AJ, 'The Happiest Bee' compared to Jeff Chaplin's image of Gia.'From the Darkness...' Both beautiful images but Jeff's image, with only 28 'likes' has already and quite rightly been awarded an FPI. Whereas Aeneas image with 152 likes has not. Where is the logic?
It was only uploaded yesterday and it usually takes a couple of days to be voted as an FPI or rejected.
Likes have no correlation to FPI. On the adult question just looking at the photo of AJ that's artnude / fetish rather than adult. Haven't seen the Gia one yet.
Adult would definitely not make fpi. When you state adult it connotes much more than that.

Having an adult content FPI defeats the object of FPIs - they are meant to be images to advertise the site for people to join. By using adult images will turn off some people who have no interest at those levels.
Unless you mean art nude, which some images do get FPIs.
But as mentioned above, number of loves or comments have literally no bearing on an image getting an FPI. An image gets an FPI if one of the elves likes it enough to nominate it, which in turn must survive being voted off by other elves, to then be awarded randomly from a pool of other FPIs. An image with one love could get an FPI, while an image with 10,000 loves will not.
brown likes do not necessarily mean its a great image though.
Look at some of the badly lit bedroom porn on here, often if there are genitals on show the likes go through the roof. It's nothing to do with it being a great image.
Not to say there isn't amazing adult content around, sometime there is amazing stuff, but you can't just award FPIs because lots of people like the image.

(a) Post pictures of boobs and bums and you'll get a ton of likes. That doesn't mean the picture is how the site wants to promote itself. One photographer posts fanny snaps with the eroticism of a road accident, and artistry of an impending smear test but has a cadre of fans who praise his work and shower it with love.
(b) The Picture in question is NOT flagged as adult. It was uploaded yesterday, so it can't possibly be and FPI yet, but the fact it can suggested and is on page for of suggested says no elf has put it in the FPI queue yet. If one of them does, then the views of others come into play; it's the most suited to go in the shop window that make the cut not the "best". Second guessing how the elves think is fun but futile, but I can see a take that says the AJ goes under "good but not suitable"
(c) Don't expect the process to be logical. A group of people who show they would make selections like past ones get to choose future ones. What they see is pretty random, and a lot of suggestions are unsuitable. What the elves happen to bump into is pretty random
(d) I last got the stats about the the turn of the year but of all awarded FPIs
55.42% Are SFW
44.20% Are NSFW
0.38% Are Adult.
However of suggestions that I could see (things only stay on suggestions pile for a finite time)
35.24% were SFW
63.66% were NSFW
1.09% were adult.
Obviously this means the chances of a suggested image getting picked by the elves are best for SFW and worst for Adult, but very few Adult get suggested.
Simply No. FPIs are there to be used to promote PP. They are not some sort of accolade.
FPI are a strange phenomenon, you can have an image with hundred plus likes and it doesn't appear, then you get one appearing which has little previous attention and all of a sudden everybody and their dog likes it, what on earth was wrong with it before. As ClickMore 📷 rightly states, it's not an award it's an appearance/listing. If you look at popular images and relied upon that as a guide to quality due to popularity....Tits and fannies would be artistic masterpieces.

There will never be any adult images chosen for the FPI, as the images are just there to promote the site to potential new members, as when they first look at the site, all they can see if like the last 4 FPI’s. And I am sure that open leg images won’t encourage many new female models as most of them won’t be ticking those levels.
And it does not matter if someone’s most favourite images has 5 likes or 500, the Elf Team need to see it and approve it firstly.

I have never really been that interested in FPI's as I will never achieve such recognition for my amateur work so hence I've never explored how and why one is awarded before, but when I saw AJ's image I was blown away so thought I'd suggest it for an FPI not realising how long the process takes. So thank you for highlighting how they are awarded. I now fully understand from Calmnudes is that it has a 44.2% chance of being awarded an FPI. Let's hope the elves agree.

No, you have misunderstood completely.
It is just the percentage of NSFW images awarded FPIs at the time the measurement was taken. It literally has nothing to do with the actual percentage chance of a NSFW image being given an FPI.
The only way the image will gain an FPI is if an elf sees it, thinks it might be worthy regardless of if it's SFW or not, put it in a pool to be potentially voted off by other elves, and then perhaps after surviving that will it be put on the front page.
