July 2018 saw the arrival at my place in Hertfordshire of one of the coolest models on the planet Artemis Fauna for our annual Artemis extravaganza. The sun was the harshest I've ever shot in and the heat was incredible but Artemis transformed my tiny idea into this epic shoot, shot 100 yards from my front door. With interruptions from ramblers and farm machinery it was certainly an eventful day and at one point I was stood in a skip full of rubbish to get the shot. Everything here was shot with all natural light, no diffusers, no reflectors, no fill flash and no gadgets, just a bucket load of suncream!
There was a lot going on behind the scenes away from the shoot so it holds a special place in my heart and from a much happier time when I actually had a little confidence left. FPI number seven was selected today making this the most popular shoot with the elves by far and a fitting way to bring my year to an end. Sadly my all time favourite image with Artemis is siting forgotten with about 6 views lol. Several times this year I have almost deleted my account here and Im not really sure where 2021 will take me and my camera but its always great to see an image you have contributed to added to the front page.
There are hundreds of images from this shoot still waiting for edits and maybe I will get round to a few more in the coming few months. Its always an honour to shoot with Artemis and can I suggest that another 364 of you book yourselves and annual days shoot with this amazing model and all round beautiful person. Whether its one of her amazing events, a day in a studio or just a day in a field you will never be disappointed!!
Thanks for looking
