I have a very good friend, James Rudland -https://www.facebook.com/jrudland

He is not only blessed to be an amazing photographer, but he is blessed with an amazing heart - this Christmas he has been working for Crisis and for the New Year, his aim is to collect as many blankets and sleeping bags as possible to hand out to rough sleepers!!

Help him, to help others less fortunate - ideally something like this - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Andes-Nevado-Season-Camping-Sleeping/dp/B00CS0A1DQ/ref=sr_1_22?ie=UTF8&qid=1420041588&sr=8-22&keywords=sleeping+bags

He has also set up a fb page, so please show your support with a 'like' - https://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Sleeping-Bag-Appeal/1579383108957845

Happy New Year James and to all my facebook friends

Please share this with your friends, lets see how many people we can get involved xx

- James Rudland -

So I think we all agree it's been pretty cold at night, so I'm turning to my friends for help, during January my aim is to collect as many blankets and sleeping bags as possible to hand out to rough sleepers!! So if you have any old blankets and sleeping bags you no longer want please let me know !!! I am willing to come and collect them or if you live far away I will even pay for the postage for you to send them to me. If you want to do your bit this year to help someone less fortunate than yourself , drop me a message !!! These bags are only £10, why not order one or two and get them delivered to my house. my address for delivery is
7 CALVINIA CLOSE
LAINDON
BASILDON
ESSEX
SS15 4FG

It all helps, happy new year folks xxx

I'm on it..   Well done Rombo!

It's something close to my heart as up to 25% of homeless in the UK are ex-military veterans who have served this country. It should never happen.  :(

♥ James spent 2 nights over Christmas working for Crisis and then started this appeal.  He asked if I would help promote, and we've donated, it's the least I could do. I didn't know that, but I think we should all help a little closer to home, you're so right, it should never happen :( x

He might contact BA. They had a load of bags for their crews that they were swapping out just before Christmas.

I'm with Jack on this, there are three main reasons ex-servicemen end up on the streets, they are; marriage break up, having no family to come out to and PTSD, bearing in mind PTSD comes with a whole lot of other problems(I speak from experience!).

♥ It's tragic that we do so much to raise money for other country's and yet lack compassion, understand and support for our own :( xx
