leaving your keys in your vehicle

Charging - I only recently discovered that I can charge a phone from my iPad mini 6.
Just connect the two.
Very handy when travelling.

Once long, long ago, I parked my motorbike opposite the famous Bow Street Police Station (*) while I visited a friend.  A few hours later when I was leaving, I could not find my keys.  After lots of searching, I set off back to Bow Street hoping that I might find where I dropped them.  They were on the saddle of the bike.  Either:

1. I was incredibly lucky and no thief passed by and noticed.

2. Some noticed but guessed that it was a trap.

3. No one wanted to nick my tatty old bike.

(*) It no longer exists but there is a museum there now.

Please note that I am not advising you to leave your bike keys on the saddle whether or not you are parked near a police station.

I assume this is a wind-up?

No it’s an electric one. Didn’t you read the OP? 😂

I imagine this happens a lot now with keyless ignitions.

I've often been told that flatteny will get me nowhere.

Believe me I have found over the years that it really does and totally doesn't.
