Meatloaf, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Hawkwind, Bachman Turner Overdrive.
;)
Good gracious. You must be nearly as old as me. :)[Indeed, I've seen Zeppelin, Sabbath and Hawkwind. :)]
Black Sabbath were my Freshers Week Band - went out and bought the Album on ‘the famous Vertigo label’. Saw Zep at the Usher Hall backed by Stone The Crows - police had to come on and pull the plug. Never got Hawkwind…..
I didn't get Hawkwind either. :) The reason I saw them was that they happened to be somewhere I happened to be. Same for Sabbath - I was indifferent to them but they happened to be somewhere I happened to be. [You already know the reasons for my 'happened to be' at these places. I'll not bore you - or anybody - again with the details :)]

Music for driving...
How on earth could I have overlooked my all-time favourite track... Rocky Mountain Way by Joe Walsh. Energy, attitude, everything!

Crippen same thoughts as podcasts I'm afraid. Now if you have more ideas like the original recording of Jeff Wayne's musical version of the War of the World's (not the Liam Neeson version) I'm all ears
Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy. The radio play version.
Is Lindisfarne too old - drive North to 'The Fog on the Tyne'?

Mott the Hoople and Family were probably the first bands I saw live….
Jethro Tull (‘This Was’, ‘Song For Jeffrey’ vintage including Mick Abrahams later of Blodwyn Pig) and Taste (separately) at the YMCA in Kirkcaldy. Nazareth were the ‘house band’ at my favourite home town watering hole when I was a student.

First gig...Probably The Birds (the British ones - not the Byrds) at Bristol Corn Exchange. Great live band - very popular on the club circuit. Never had any commercial success, but their lead guitarist was Ronnie Wood who later joined a fairly well-known band.

I would agree with Carlos and add SUPERTRAMP (Crime Of The Century) any ROXETTE and Beach Boys.

Looks like our very own Koburg is no longer on PP, or maybe has me blocked, but her music really is worth a listen. Definitely available on Spotify https://open.spotify.com/artist/64zvZZWrafQFBS97macd5B
You could do a lot worse and start off with these albums
I Am Koburg: https://open.spotify.com/album/67gdtS7X9mYtOXM2YQb0SF?si=XIKoJQkhQUei_9TPsa7Zkw
Position of Power https://open.spotify.com/album/45hSuZA064AeelQFdBhO8B?si=-ZqGRY32QEi4NRzGPKEr3g
Stripped (just solo vocals and piano versions) https://open.spotify.com/album/5SjefLh4X6LqViP6Ge3wVu?si=6qJMs8_zTQ-Sm-eNz6_WYQ
If you just want a taster then these singles are particular favourites
The Ego Has Landed https://open.spotify.com/album/5i1YU8Z4fF4qLlVWKBDIs6?si=P9wlr8P7QNylCEbft-Zb1A

I would add “Drivers Seat” by Sniff ‘n’ the Tears. (Lead singer Paul Robert’s was/is an artist and did all the Album Covers….I have some of his prints)
Obviously anything by ‘The Cars’
……..and “Train To Nowhere” by Savoy Brown Blues Band………..and “Highway 61” by Dylan.
Finally from me “Roadhouse Blues” by The Doors.

Add in the Toots & The Maytals version of Take Me Home Country Roads. And Road To Hell parts 1 and 2, by Chris Rea (which he once confirmed was inspired by the M25)
“Don’t Think About Her (When You’re Trying To Drive)” by the short-lived supergroup Little Village (Cooder/Hiatt/Keltner/Lowe, an excellent band live).
“Train Station Car Park” by Tom Williams & The Boat (“it’s a ring road round London, the M25”)
”Highway 13”, John Lee Hooker.
“2000 Miles” by The Pretenders.
”Fuel Up” by Stornoway.
”Freeway Of Love” by Aretha Franklin, from her fabulous 80s reboot phase.
”Clay Pigeons” by Blaze Foley (or the John Prine version), though this is a song about the healing power of a a very long Greyhound bus journey.
And if we’re extending travel songs to bus journeys, then “National Express” by The Divine Comedy, which is a great funny singalong song.
And “I'm Not Drivin' These Wheels (Bring The Prose to The Wheel)” and “Ford Econoline”, travel-tinged songs by the sadly missed Nanci Griffith.
