Tina Charles - I Love To Love
More poignant now somehow because of its crucial place in the BBC's River.

Life is only allowed to spring this on me at the perfect time once per year. Beyond that it just gets silly.

Trying (and very much failing) to raise money for a campaign for a memorial to ENSA at the National Memorial Arboretum in Alrewas.
A slowie: First verse - youthful naivety, war being one big adventure; Chorus - remembrance; Bridge - reflection turning almost to anger... was all this loss of life really necessary?; Second verse - the reality of the battlefield, no sugar-coating. Song takes time to build, intentionally overly sparse at first.
Excerpts from other mix categories (different tempo, different vibe, different lyrics) can be found here.
