The best band in the world right now.... Nightwish!

The last studio album  Human Nature 2 disc version is superb. Their standard of writing real music and performing it live to such a high standard must leave so many other modern bands bewildered.

Anekdoten are another great band who do not hold back.

ndpimages I'll check them out. Every time I see Nightwish perform live I almost break a rib with my own jaw. Tuomas' composing is some of the best I've heard, and Floor is an absolute bad ass machine. I just hope Marko returns one day. He's missed

David Ellinsworth  Floor can sound so beautiful and powerful her voice will carry without having to eat the mike. Marko is a great bass player and fits the band so well his return would be good. I was surprised and pleased when Troy Donockley joined the band I like his work with many other artists such as Mostly Autumn and Iona.

ndpimages Troy is brilliant! Such a gifted (multi)musician. Many of the fans who have followed NW since the start prefer Tarja, and she is a phenomenal singer, but has nowhere near the chest voice power and range of colours and dynamics that Floor has. She's so good it's ridiculous

The last big gig I saw pre covid featured The Blackbyrds, they were very good but the final number they played 'Rock Creek Park' fell flat.

Shame  Rock Creek Park fell flat it is good on the studio recording. That does happen many pieces I am not keen on various albums are great live and visa versa. The track I love from City is Life is "All I Ask" with the Harmonica.

Pleased The Blackbyrds are still going.
