"Drink up- Light up", a compilation of jazz & R&B tunes from the 30s to 50s dealing with dope & drink.
I must confess to enjoying "Who put the benzadrine in Mrs Murphy's ovaltine" more than I should. ;)
Had to go and find that on YouTube! Led me to all sorts of cool tracks - thank you. :)
You're welcome, nice to find someone with similar weird taste. ;)

Halestorm's I Miss The Misery... what a VOICE that woman has!
B17fan - I love the rawness and fun of those old tracks. My PC's set on random shuffle through all I have on MP3, which is a weird selection of stuffI admit. Looking back at the playlist so far today, before Halestorm, it was Alberto Y Los Trios Paranoias, Marsha Hunt, Tone Loc, the Bad Shepherds, King Crimson, Leslie Fish, Scatman Crothers, Don Henley, Woody Guthrie, Tom Jones, Hayseed Dixie, Abney Park and The Sinister Ducks!

I have a great love of lots of old tracks from the 30s-50s. I have quite a few 78s & a wind- up gramophone.
Years ago I attended an event at an old U.S air base, where they had a 1940s dance. I gathered a crowd outside who had never heard the original records, & they were playing from a Jeep!

Ah, brilliant, that's cool! I went to a similar thing a few years back, in Essex, and the tea-dance gathered such a crowd. But not as authentic as a wind-up gramophone in a Jeep!

The very very beautiful 'I Am Free' Rael Jones OST from the equally stunning film Suite Francaise.
