Why not try the Colne Blues festival near Burnley, three days at the end of August, the seven venues are all on or close to the main street so if he is there which I doubt, you just walk up the street to another venue.

Funny enough my Uncle has done that one a few times.  It's a bit too far North for me.  I think it also clashes with Reading festival.  Of course the joy of festivals is that you always have plenty of choice.

 The problem I face is that festival organisers always want photos of the headliners. 😊

I have not been to Colne blues festival properly since 2012 because the line ups dont seem as good as then, I think the funding for the festival is falling year after year. The last group I saw was Steelye Span in Bury, last autumn they were excellent.
