yeah, girl with dragon tattoo was another one I considered myself. Of course, star wars you can use, "a long time ago, in a service station on the A3" et al....

This one never really impressed me all that much as I figured it was a painting.

After having chatted at some length with one of the main people responsible for creating it (turns out it's the brother of a friend of mine) and finding out it was a photograph, and seeing all the behind the scenes shots of the construction of these beasts (they're just immense), and seeing them being setup, alternate versions of the photograph, it completely changed my view of it.

This one was always quite a controversial cover (banned in some countries), but I thought it an interesting image, and something worth interpreting.  Now I just need to find somebody who's good at making robots! :)

not surprised Nirvana "surfaced". I could have done that with my son when he was a baby as he could swim before he could walk

I'd only just started model photography, used a spare room with a white sheet, tungsten lights, a 3mp bridge camera and very little photoshop skills but at the models request had an attempt at this...almost!

that works really well for me. Now the NEXT stage is to print it, put it in a frame with a gold disc, hang it on your wall, and have your phot taken with it in the background, like these: http://purpleport.com/portfolio/eastridingphoto/image/115947/photographer/?referrer=EastRidingPhoto
