Just had some hard but well needed truths from a model who I get on really well with and It’s made me question if people’s perception of you can really change and if it’s possible to rebuild your reputation as a freelance model.
Many of you might know me as Fay Noir when I used to shoot art nude. I did this for years and then later decided to change my levels. The transition of me changing my levels was messy, I altered my name to separate myself from my art nude work, I made new accounts, I cancelled shoots with photographers that were no longer compatible with my new levels. I can see why it came across as confusing to many.
When I changed my levels from art nude to fashion modelling, I underestimated how hard it was. I went from selling out studio days and being fully booked to being rejected by studios because I’m not as well known for that level. I deleted my accounts I felt angry that photographers only wanted to shoot me nude and didn’t respect me as a fashion model. I gave up too easy and took rejections personally.
I’m hoping next year will be a fresh start for me and want to work hard to rebuild my modelling reputation and show you what I’m made of.
