Mine are probably around the £50-60p/h mark these days, and so a half day is £200-£250 which is beyond a lot of photographers on here I guess? I used to like to book for six hours, but that is increasingly rare now.

Very sorry, but that's between me and the models. People can see who I've worked with; so if I were state any rates I would, in effect, be publicly discussing the rates of identifiable models. I wouldn't be thanked for that.
But one thing I should clarify is that when I refer to an all-day shoot, I mean 6 hours not 8 hours. I'm old and creaky and I'm knackered enough after 6 hours; 8 hours would just about kill me. So my shoots are usually a half day (4 hours) or 6 hours.
Another thing I should point out is that I'm fortunate enough to have a good shoot location at an affordable price. I use a local village hall for my shoots, and it's not expensive. I'm on good terms with the people who look after the hall so I've been allocated a large cupboard for storing all my gear. If I had to lug the gear in and out every time... Hmmm... I just wouldn't have the energy to do it.
Coincidentally, I've just been to the hall to set up for tomorrow's shoot. I've been out of action with a knackered back for a while, so it will be good to get back to shooting. And it's with one of my favourite models as well. Yeessssss!

Though you're in a great position if you're getting 6 hour art nude shoots for a 'helluva lot less than £350'. The FPI affect maybe?
No bitterness here about that, but just pointing out it's perhaps not the same for all of us.

My experience on here have been overwhelmingly positive. I've worked with some incredible people over the years and that has continued through this year - inspirational and talented models that are wonderful to work with and work hard to get the best out of a shoot and help me push my creative abilities each time, which I love. Like everyone you get the occasional bad apple but that's the same in all walks of life and not enough to dent my love for this photo stuff. For me this is still a great place to be.
