Hi
I've been approached by a model who wants to shoot suggestive shots in libraries and churches.
Anyone know any good ones that have minimal chance of disturbance from the public?
Thanking you
Take care
Johnny

You’ll need a deconsecrated church that allows nudity, I don’t know of any
Same with libraries and I’ve been in touch with all the private ones over the last twelve months and none would allow nudity or suggestive shots
This might be a non starter and if you turned up without permission and started shooting in this vein you should expect to be arrested at worst and kicked out at best
I am not religious but those who are would find it disrespectful shooting nudes in their church. An alternative might be somewhere ruined like Waverley Abbey near Farnham. Libraries would be very tricky, perhaps secondhand or antiquarian bookshop could be an alternative.
I kind of agree with ClickMore 📷 and I generally stay clear of any religious places regardless the level of shoot unless it 100% is part of the mood.
However, it's clearly been done as there is enough images on here of models in suggestive poses outside or inside of churches (or places made to look like churches, you could think out the box and find an airbnb that has large stained windows or is an old converted church but has kept much of the character)
You could also do an image search on here and use keywords such as 'church' and 'library' and take a look at the images that pop up and if any of the togs tagged in those images look local, you could perhaps reach out and ask, but don't be surprised if some won't give up their locations. Just don't take it personally.
Ah. So what you're looking for is a great site that no-one knows about, that a stranger on here will share with you...
As ClickMore 📷 says sexually suggestive stuff in places like churches tends to cause offence - even messing about in graveyards will have people here calling you tasteless. There are deconsecrated ones about - Tabitha Boydell even arranges shoots in one - but if it's hireable as a venue it will want to look after its reputation - the churches conservation trust looks after quite a few see https://www.visitchurches.org.uk/ but they're unlikely to say yes to what you have in mind.
Libraries - your best bet is a hireable venue that has a library, rather than an actual public library.
I'm not really too concerned with causing offence. Art can be challenging for people, I'm happy to sit with that. Thanks for your input and suggestions.

Except that you probably ought to consider the knock-on effect for anyone asking to use the venue in the future?

Considered and again I'm happy to sit with that.
:-)
Gothic Image I've shot nude in a church and not had anyone ask about using the venue 🤣
