Jack_Photography that's one mask im not keen on too Claustrophobic for me

They can be, however, the key to those one's are to relax & breath normally. Hard to do if you've never wore one before, but, for a good image, look epic!

I quite like masks and still have four nice theatrical half face masks. I like them to be a part of the story rather than just look like someone hiding their face. Most models seem to get more enthusiastic over the outfits I have than the masks when I have shown them, so I have only shot them a handful of times. Plus I keep them in a box to avoid them getting damaged so they are not so easy to remember

My favourite masks were some a borrowed that were authentic voodoo and really artistic and spooky.

They do suit my photography genres and as a bonus, I see, masks pee off some of the traditionalists, I may see if I can give them a whirl again.

Some things will be more of a niche, but that is part of the attraction as some on here are so stuck in their own little worlds that listening to them would be a huge mistake to your own development

A couple more, though I'm not a mask fan, they work OK sometimes.

I think it is a niche thing..... every now and then I see a mask image which is outstanding and I love it..... most of the time, I just don't feel a connection to the concept.

Can't the same be said about any type of picture, though?  From portraits to nudes, there are pictures you'll just skip past and pictures that stand out and make you want to pause to enjoy them a bit longer.

Masks... I think it's not necessarily what the model wears that that affects why people will like an image or not. It's the artistic element of it, I.e. lighting, location, story telling.

For example, a model can literally wear anything ridiculous like wrap their head with plastic and cover their face and the image can still be an awesome fab one.

All about the scenario being projected and what you want from the images. I use masks and blindfolds to add the effects and story I want to tell

when I saw the title I thought you were talking about editing! I like masks when they are done well, I keep meaning to incorporate one into a shoot. I'm not mad about balaclavas and gas masks but that's just my personal preference.
