But would it not be better to ask people to leave her refences so she does not retire ?

So if people are rude and stop being courteous to her, she will stay?

Her profile states after so many more references she is retiring, it's not about being rude guys, it's a bit tongue in cheek :)

When or if she retires she plans to leave her references up? Most who retire just deactivate.

I had considered the same but I would find it very hard to not leave a reference after a good shoot.

Doesn’t make sense to me, to be honest. I mean, if a model—or a photographer, for that matter—retires, what use are the references? We use them to gauge the character, professionalism, and reliability of a member. If they no longer work, why would anyone read the references of someone who’s retired? doesnt make any diiference to me honestly i just found it strange :-D

It’s always especially sad when a regular muse you’ve worked with a lot, and perhaps even become friends with, decides to leave. I’ve experienced this too many times to count, sadly. While I still keep in touch with them all, for many, modeling is not a lifelong pursuit—just a short-term bit of fun. Sometimes they move into jobs that wouldn’t allow it, or they start families and have children. I can totally understand the reasons, no matter what they are—it’s still sad when you lose a great model....

As Holly Alexander pointed out, the OP's comment was tongue-in-cheek. A bit of humour. Or irony. Not meant to be taken seriously.
