I will be turning my studio, that's currently a store room, back into a studio again....

A variety of models is always good for the port.

I do think multiple shoots with the same model pays off also, 4 hours isn't enough!

JPea portugal is one of my favourite places 🥰

For me, time for shoots is not a problem, paying for them is. I can see more tightening of the belt in 2025, what with energy due to go up again, food, etc. I'm sure everyone knows already without me banging on about it. But, that's the way of it for me, less shooting than even this year and I didn't do many this year 2024. :-(

If photography is your passion, you will find time.

I'm sitting here looking at torrential rain and trees being blown over.

My plans for 2025 are to get out of this country and go somewhere warmer where you can actually get out of the house!!!!

I would really love to shoot more in 2025. 2024 was a good year shoot wise but unfortunately with rising cost of everything I can see my self doing less and less shoots next year. I really love shooting and it's such a shame but it's how things are going and I also wonder if this year may be the last year I do shoots on a regularish basis.

Well, I'm starting from scratch again. So, new equipment, camera, lenses etc etc. But, I do have shoots booked in Dec (I know not 2025) with two ballet dancers.

April, I'm shooting with Latitia, a ballet trained gymnastic model in April and another called Katelyn who dances ballet in America. I also have a contact in a ballet school which might work out quite well.

My other plans are to arrange more creative ballet shoots to obtain images for my website and social media content. I hope to launch myself into my own photography business in June 2025.

I will be studioless, prefering to hire studios as and when needed. No overheads and studio worries then and it gives me more freedom to choose.

But for now, it's getting myself ready

One of my wish this year to travel to a photography holiday 😊😊 Fingers crossed 🤞

Also, haven't done much of wildlife shoot since Covid, so would probably visit Staple/Farne islands for puffins. Another wishlist is tiger safari in India and Masai mara wildlife migration.

Only if wishes were horses 🐎 😊

I would love to go to India, always wanted to visit that country..  A creative ballet shoot in India... what a shoot that would be. A tad expensive though 🫢

I'd love that as well!  Or how about classical Indian dance?

(I know virtually nothing about dance - I've never been on a dance floor (not once!) - but I love watching and photographing skilled dancers.)

It doesn't appeal to me, i.e. Indian Dance ... I just thought a ballet shoot in India would be so different as ballet is not really followed over there.  I try to avoid dance floors I have no dance skills what so ever.

In 2025, I want to continue expanding my Shutter App™ remote photography model and photographer database on an international scale and building and curating my PurplePort Portfolio while also incorporating the incredible technology that is being developed and made available to practically everyone. I started using Shutter App™ regularly in 2024, conducting one to two sessions each week, primarily in the US and UK, with a few sessions in Colombia and Spain. Two key developments have greatly assisted me: the first is the Auto-Tracker Pan and Tilt technology for tripod-mounted smartphones, which physically follows the model's face and body during the session; the second is Elixxier Set.A.Light, a PC-based 3D photo session planning and simulation program which enhances communication between model and photographer. I am very interested in seeing and benefiting from the advancements that will be made in these two areas in 2025.

I totally agree. Although I am super lucky to be in the Algarve and enjoy amazing scenery to shoot with, It comes with the disadvantage of not having the people I love to work with around. Sometime it works and we manage, but mostly it's a one-off :(
