Here’s a highlight;

“2% of members account for 80% of all (sic FPI) awards ever given”.

If all you’re interested in is seeing their work you will miss some wonderful gems of the remaining 98% of members.

I worked with several I spotted in the new upload feed who had never had an FPI at the time, perhaps they were newbies here, but regardless I loved their work or saw their potential and made contact.

Yeah that's fine, I just got a lot more notifications that are false. For example, the one above. That person only posted once on this thread and did't quote me

Tabitha Boydell at a guess (I am on my phone so can’t easily check) you are still referenced in the HTML markup of a reply somehow, even though you have been edited out of it visibly. AFAIR There’s some hidden HTML on containing wrappers that gets carried forwards, and perhaps the WYSIWYG editor didn’t fully remove it.

And indeed that is exactly it:

Basically it is Theta Aeterna 's fault ;-) He must have started by replying to you on something, edited out the text, typed something else, and somehow it has ended up attributed to you, because TinyMCE (the WYSIWYG editor Purpleport uses) is a pile of unmentionable. (But also because relying on user-supplied markup is not really a sustainable way to implement threaded conversation! This could be abused)

Edit: Actually it might originally be indemnity 's fault? But you can see (if you know any HTML) that there is some corrupted markup somewhere. Every time someone replies to either of those two comments, that misattribution is going to lead to you being notified that you are being quoted.
