Images being removed.

I have not described 100% AI generated images and I agree with you and our exulted leader on the matter.

But where an image is built upon a model then it should be viable here.

This site btw accepts images where there is no model whatsoever!

Now whether what is built upon a model be it before shutter release like make up, clothing, a full gimp suit that renders her entirely anonymous or multiple filters, projections….. or post production including via AI generative graphic enhancements…

The model has done their job in the process and is deserving of the credit.

But the image, if not 100% AI, should be allowable here.

Images that are not 100% AI-generated are allowed here; they just need to be built from a real, tangible photograph. If the image shows a person, it needs to be a real one.

This is why I removed a lot of my images, even ones I had taken with my camera. (I felt like doing that as I felt like a fresh start)

I understand PP's stance and I bear no grudge.

I will upload, in future, only images I took with my camera, or a camera that I operated via a remote photo shoot.

Moving forward I will look into creating a Photoshop Wizard account so if somebody wants me to edit their photo, I can do that, but I won't have been the photographer.

Times change, I'm rolling with the punches!

And that is precisely what the OP was aggrieved about is it not?

I was aggrieved because the "images" got removed. I've never had that happen to me before. It's a learning experience....

I've gotten over it...

Raj Singh From what I see, he was upset that an image of his was challenged and he didn't immediately send the proof requested, which is why it wasn't reinstated. This can happen to any of us with any image, and if it does, all you need to do is send the original image. I don’t see that as a negative, to be honest, or particularly hard to do. It may be irritating and as ai progresses it may be something that gets harder but we just have to follow the curve

That’s fair enough.

Raj Singh all real models, just some ai and graphic design work on backgrounds pretty standard tbh with print work and nothing that would be disallowed on pp, this is nothing new tbh print work and graphic design have done this for decades , it’s just tear sheets basically from a print ad

So going back to what you said earlier:

Does this mean Purple Port and its rules on the matter are ‘old fashioned’?

If photography is evolving.. should not Purple Port?

No, and no.  PurplePort always was and remains a site where creatives - such as models and photographers - can network to create images. The pictures you link to are 100% within the scope of what PurplePort seeks to enable and encourage.

I'll be amazed if Russ disagrees with that.

I sometimes think I'd rather see a fully generated ai image than some of the stuff that's getting through at the moment. Photoshop's generative fill, particularly rooms and furniture is so bad I wonder if it's not some sort of a cruel joke. It'd be interesting to know what models think when they see themselves slapped into a generatively filled background and given 5 fingers or a claw.

I'm even more aggrieved now, seeing as I'm trying to get in touch with admin, to prove I created the images, they removed, and they are now ignoring me. It's not quite so easy going through thousands of folders and sifting through loads of images to make sure that I've got everything I need to send to them.

What sucks even more is that they closed the support messages , in regards to each image removed, less than 48hrs ago.... How is that enough time to respond? What if I wasn't at home, and even though I am, I've still got a sift through loads of folders to sort everything out.....

Anyway I have created a new account on PP as a PS Wizard, and I'll upload the images again there, with proof on standby.

It's all just WIP at the moment...

If you've responded to a support ticket and it shows as still being open, they'll get around to it when they can.  They don't work 24x7, and they also get a fair number of tickets per day.  See https://purpleport.com/page/support/stats

Give it time :)

You can respond to any support ticket, even if it appears to be closed, including uploading any images they've asked for.  "Closed" in this context means that they have responded to you, not that the subject is closed for any further discussion.

OK thanks. I thought it was strange...

Ohhhhhh I didn't know that. I thought it would be closed permanently. I didn't realise I needed to reply.

Thank you

Messages are closed after each response it does not mean you cannot reply that's normal procedure, and its a weekend, the admin team don't work 24/7, They will reply give them time
