Do you believe that AI was not involved in the creation of the first image you posted (I don't)?

If it was involved, what does it matter if the subsequently posted images also involved AI in their production?

Well the model is here, on PP, and she looks like she does in that photo.

Changing backgrounds has been going on for at least 100 years.
It's just got easier.

How do you know the model is on PP as she isn't credited?

Perhaps the models identity was mentioned in comms the OP had with the image owner (as mentioned at top of this page).

I can help you with that. Her name is Aida Alvarez and she models using the alias Dochka, MM#1195347.

Actually if the original image has people thinking it is AI then if I was the author then I would take that as a compliment, it says to people that a real skill was used to create the image (a non ai image)

Interesting use of the word author, rather than photographer.

Is it your belief post AI, that it should not matter if the original photograph of an individual [model] was not taken by persons operating photographer profiles on PP and similar sites?

Perhaps, but here's a thing - if the model isn't credited, how do you know it isn't AI that just happens to look like them?

FiL author was used as in this instance the creation was much more than just snapping a picture, there has been much editing also.

You didn't answer my question - "Is it your belief post AI, that it should not matter if the original photograph of an individual [model] was not taken by persons operating photographer profiles on PP and similar sites?"

Also, what steps did you take to ascertain the true provenance of the image you edited and subsequently published in several different forms in your opening post? Did you obtain the permission of the rightful copyright holder? You may wish to consider your answer carefully before you provide it.

Yes I believe that a persons face and likeness should be owned by them, even if AI was used.

Your 2nd question I was in-communication with the copyright holder (the photographer).

OK.

Huw guys put the pitch forks away, the owner of the image was contacted by PM and was ok with the idea…

Since the photographer is not a member of this site, hence you cannot have contacted him by PM on PP, presumably you corresponded with him by PM on another platform?

I understand why you might think that.

However, the OP chose to edit an image which does not belong to him hence I'm interested to know what steps he took to properly ascertain the rightful copyright owner before doing that.
