Hi All,
I'm just trying to tidy up my portfolio a bit, so I'm making some more relevant albums. I was trying to filter by "FPI" for example. Is this possible?
Reason being I want to hide some older albums and update the format but when I've hidden images before that were FPI, the FPI was removed. It's not that big a deal I guess, but I'd still rather not lose it if it's simple enough?

Ahhhhhh, I was going through the "add images to album" dialogue and not image manager. This seems more robust. Ignore me for now
I might be wrong but if you put FPIs in private album, they lose the association link.
Hide it, and it isn't on the front page. Nor returns.
In my Words album is a link to a post on albums, which may amuse you even if it is wide of your aims

Thanks Midge, just had a read.
So, what happens if you had an FPI in two albums but now chose to hide just one of them? Does remove the link, even though the image is still visible in the other album?

You are thinking of there being two things, each an instance of the picture, with separable aspects.
There are not, there is one object.
It is hidden, or not hidden.
It is FPI, or not FPI.
It is in whatever albums it has been marked as being in.
The content of the room is the same whether we look into it today through the round window, or through the square window.
If we change the content by reaching in through the round window, we will not find it unchanged by walking over to the square window and looking in.
Cats do not entirely understand this, and will go round looking for the Door into Summer.

And that's it. I never understood the method some others took by creating an album by photographer/model/etc... or by year. It just results in an ever expanding list of albums - albums that many people never bother going into anyway. I keep my most popular and most recent shoot images on my main page, the rest get stored in the albums.
Since FPI's can be added as a physical icon at the top of the portfolio, I didn't see any reason to create an album for them.

All. Handy if you have lots. And if you do different things year by year, then quite recent and old have some merit. Can be in more than one album. Chacun a son gout.
