Possibly but I suspect it’s more that there are less symptomatic cases to be tested (because vaccines work) and people have stopped doing regular LFTs because children aren’t in schools.

The single biggest change to the R rate was assumed to be closing schools (along with Universities). This would mean many fewer cases regardless of how many LFTs aren't done.

There are probably some like my family as well - we're going on holiday soon and are missing out on social events to make sure we don't get Test and Trace on our case and miss it.
