Can we add a way to search for people who shoot video?

You can add the keyword "video" in the "profile contains" section on the search page.

I have just given that a try and it does refine the search down, so does help me out for those who state they are open to shooting video. 

However, of those I looked at, a good number are calling out they have appeared in music videos, and don’t clearly say if they are open to / interested in shooting video with a hobbyist photographer

So for me a way to specifically record they are open to shooting video would be better :)

I have added an issue for it, but even if we added it today and sent notifications to everyone about it, it would take years to get as many people to tick a new option as it appears today in the search using the above method.

It's a great idea, I've now added about video in my notes as videography is something I love doing

I guess it's one of those things that will be slow to adopt, but it does no harm having it there as a listed shoot style and I am sure it will slowly gain traction over the years.

While on the subject Russ, could we possibly add "Act" or "Actor". For those of us who need performers, rather than just pretty faces.

Yup, great ideas, video and performers would be extremely useful.

We have added Video as a shoot style, so you can go ahead and select it in your work preferences, and it is available for use on the search page too :)

I've been asking for video option years ago, glad its finally here.

Thank you for including that. When models see it, it will be a prompt for those keen to shoot / offer it to actually mention it. It may well be worth doing a notification to members after the New Year as some will be shutting up shop for a couple of weeks.
