Select an image to move into an album

I'm trying to tidy up my port and want to move images into named folders by model.  Unless I'm missing something - it seems once I create a new album ( eg model x)   and then want to move images from my visible port into the new album I have to scroll through every image to locate the relevant images and then use the move or add option. the scroll shows every image you have ever taken - which in my case is rather a lot.

If you have a lot of images this seems very slow way of doing it.

If you could right click on the image in your visible port and have the option to "add to album"  - then click on that and it gives you a drop down of all your albums   and then you just click the appropriate  album and still have the choice to move or add . then you wouldn't have to scroll through every image ( even if a lot of them are already in other albums you have created) .

If there is another way to do this more efficiently then please do tell :)

Also  - if you have already moved an image to an album but just used the add option and the image also still remains on your visible port then if you now want to remove it from your visible port you have to go to the album  - remove it from the album and then go back to add to the album and this time use the move option to take it off your visible port . Again a very slow way of doing this :(

Have you tried using the Image Manager?

I found out that you can select images visible on your port which helps a bit.  and no I haven't tried that  - will have a look

Looks like image manager may help a bit but still need to scroll through every image to then select what album to put it in .

Also  you can add to albums but it doesn't give you the option to move it -so it still appears visible on your port .

Multi-select, then Show/Hide.

I guess that will still take two steps - ie first to add to an album and then the image . Also  if  you have a lot of images it takes ages even on image manager to scroll down to the bottom.

it seems that you need to go through a lot of images to take action rather than just clicking on say the dozen or so of a particular model that you want to move off your port and into an album. Hey ho

trebor images Indeed.  I suggested https://purpleport.com/group/bugs-errors-suggestions/196091/Ideas-for-enhancements-to-the-Image-Manager/ a while ago, and Admin responded favourably to the idea, though nothing has come of it yet :)
