Using this facility from the home page grey cog doesn't always list some of the portfolios that I have actually viewed. Is that a glitch or settings in the relevant profiles?

Portfolio tracking can be turned off by the user in the who's viewed you setting.

That only affects whether visitors to your profile will show up in "Who has viewed your portfolio", not in "Portfolios you have viewed".

Oh, I missread it :)
That said, I'm also missing some people from my "Portfolios you have viewed", so maybe it does apply to both after all?
You can try it by looking at my profile, because I have portfolio tracking disabled, and then checking your list to see whether I appear.

It seems that that is the answer because having now viewed your profile, no, it doesn't appear in my list ! .........except that I don't understand the logic of that !? If you can view a profile what is the reason it doesn't appear in your 'Portfolio's you have viewed'??
Then I'd agree that Portfolios you have viewed has a bug, as it violates the Principle of least astonishment.
I reckon that the scenario described by the OP has existed since the year dot. I've noticed it for years. It's always mystified me. But I'm easily mystified.
That bug has been there a long time, maybe forever.
Fixed now, though :-)
Thank you, Russ. Yes, it's now no longer a 'bugger' ........ (sorry, couldn't resist it!)

Thanks. I didn't realise it was a bug. I thought it was a feature of the site (honest!) but I wasn't sure how or why it did what it did.
