This may sound incredibly stupid but when I post a picture it doesn't show all the image information like other people? Like the wee heart ect. What am I doing wrong?

You can't love your own images, so the little heart wouldn't appear for you anyway.

Can you share an example image?

Is this just a case of using the URL of the image itself rather than the page it's displayed on?

Hey both, so my post here for example. https://purpleport.com/group/games/123253/blonde-hair-models-3/page/240/

I use the image URL, because if I lost the page IRL it's a broken link. I'm using the right thing, post image right? Or is there something I'm missing.

Use the grey cog to get the URL - you want the bottom one that says "Copy link to the page".  Then just paste it into the message box and add a space afterwards - you'll see the text change colour.  Don't use the little picture in the menu bar, that's for posting an image, not a link.
