Off theme posts in games

Maybe when someone starts a new game they should have some powers of moderation?

I started a new game yesterday and already 3 posts which blatantly go against the theme. I would like to remove them.

People posting wrong images is just part of the internet life. Just as people post images in the competitions that have nothing to do with the theme, or with any forum on any site in the world (and newsgroups back in the early days), there will always be topic drift and completely unrelated posts.

I think there is a confusion between "profile" as showing a person from the side and "profile" as being a picture for an account... Maybe you could explain / elaborate more on what you're thinking, although like said above, most people just don't read or make the effort to comply

Yes you get drift but it is blatantly doing the opposite of the games stated intention. Worse things are happening in the world but still it is annoying.

Possible but not the case here as I have already spoken to one of those who may have misinterpreted. He just posted in the wrong group apparently.

Never mind the motive or mistake. I would like to be able to remove the off message posts.

I agree, but how far do you do? There are plenty of images in the "corsets" thread that are just flimsy basques, for example.

Some are tricky. Especially for the ignorant 🤣🤣

But to paraphrase John Cleese..... in most cases it should be bleedin obvious :p

Bleeding obvious to those who actually read the instructions, perhaps?  :-)

That said, I think there's a lot to be said for the starter of a thread to become its "owner" and have moderation rights on it.

I must admit that I have the attention span of a gnat, so I'm often guilty of glancing at something and not absorbing anything.

Taking that into account, when I first saw your thread I, too, jumped to the (incorrect) conclusion that it meant 'pic that one uses as a profile in one's portfolio'.

I thank you for that consensus :)

I have to admit that I thought it fell in to the "bleedin obvious" category. However, don't think misinterpretation was the case here as only one looks like a "profile" picture is not. I know because I asked.

It's me. Not you! Even if something were in bold, 28pt, underlined and repeated a couple of dozen times, I'm quite likely to skim through it and miss the gist of it, no matter how firmly it is is the 'bleedin obvious' camp.

When I said that I have the attention span of a gnat, that's insulting to gnats. They wouldn't want to be brought down to my level.

So you are not gnaturally attentive to detail ? :P

Ouch!

To Admin , Is it feasible to give original poster moderation powers? In particular images that break the rules.

Sensual Art said, 1714814934

Obvious cases like "...from the previous poster" would also fall into this category.  Ditto "something yellow", or "SFW".

Other cases become far too blurred, though.  I'd agree, but with caution.

I love it when the alternate Landscape Potrait format game has people posting square images.

I feel your pain. I see a few more images have appeared, since you started this thread, which are not profiles.
