Collaborators Wanted

I am a photographic artist based in west Wales. My work is typically displayed in art galleries and in books/magazines that I publish with specific themes. You can view more of my work at www.rorychapman.com

I have multiple photo projects in the works and am always looking for models that are interested in collaborating. Likewise, if there are photos that you want to add to your portfolio, I’m interested in helping with that.

Some projects I’m currently working on are:

• Collecting images of scars and stretch marks that are not caused by childbirth or labour. Photos do not include any faces unless the scars or marks are on the face specifically. Eventually I hope to release these as a book.
• Body positivity images. These images would highlight areas and features that would typically not be featured by mainstream media. You can expect the images to take on a documentary style in aesthetic and approach. Faces are optional and the final collection of work may be included alongside my work surrounding scars and stretch marks as they are thematically similar.
• Destruction of perfection. Each subject/model will be different, but you can expect every shoot to be fun and possibly messy. Previous shoots included a model wearing a sequin dress and pouring milkshake all over themselves, blowing spit bubbles, applying makeup badly and eating noodles from the palm of their hands.
• I am a huge fan of creating portraits and of faces in general. If you would like to create interesting portraits with me, please get in touch.

I have my own small studio located in Aberaeron, Wales where I shoot most of my work. If you would like me to visit you, we can arrange this too. If you have some shoot ideas yourself, I’m absolutely open to hear them and work on them if I am able. I have zero limits to what I will shoot providing our photographer and model relationship is respected at all times. I have had models attempt to cross this line in the past so I would just like to make that clear up front.
