In early November we are excited to be able to work with Fretters for the first time. Together we are setting out to be a little more experimental and edgy with our choice of outfit, make-up and set.
 Join us as we set out to tell a story of courage, tenacity and transformation - Studio Luminescence will play host to a dramatic, fabric filled, gel lit extravaganza in the form of 'The Phoenix.'

Using a superb combination of floaty fabrics, gel lighting and custom-made wings, capture the burning glow and striking form rising from the ashes, a concept of hope and renewal created using finely balanced colours and materials. We present a concept that plays on emotions, drama, the use of shapes and colours and more - the flexibility to capture both the fantastical and the editorial all in one. 

For those of you who love a conceptual shoot - this is going to be quite the spectacle!
Come tell a very special story with us; expect incredible make-up with a fiery edge, dresses made from scratch using gorgeous fabrics and the incredible custom-made wings with a touch of 'fire.' Playing to the gymnastic strengths of Fretters, expect awe-inspiring shapes and forms as the story of 'The Phoenix' plays out before you. Capture something a little different for your portfolio and tell your own unique story of the emotive and dramatic concept of resurrection and renewal.

The event is a group workshop - tuition* and guidance will be offered allowing for attendees to get the very best out of the day with us.
The workshop is suitable for all levels of experience - whether you're completely new to using studio lighting, you're wanting to understand the balance of gels and dramatic lighting in creating a concept, or whether you're just wanting to shoot the amazing Fretters in a unique way - we've got all bases covered here. At Studio Luminescence - all are welcome!

*Tuition is offered as a part of the event to anyone requiring a little bit of help or guidance. Specifically, tuition is offered on the use of studio lighting specifically selected for the theme, as well as different shooting techniques that allow you to get the best from the shoot within the parameters of the custom built set and studio space. We will work through a number of stunning portrait opportunities, 3/4 length shots as well as the option for full length imagery to capture all of the incredible shapes, colours and emotions from this epic story.

What can you expect from a Studio Luminescence workshop?

- Individual 1 to 1 shooting time with the model; with ample opportunity to capture a number of frames before swapping out with a fellow group member
- Respectful shooting agreement with only 1 photographer shooting at any one time
- Only 3 photographers in the shooting space at any one time following introductions – with the groups alternating between main shooting space and relaxation space
- Time to review images, discuss with fellow photographers and tutor(s) and then time to re-shoot following feedback / group change
- Help, advice and feedback on hand from the Luminescence team; individually tailored to your level of experience
