Model casting - Dancer required for Body painted image

I am collaborating with a highly skilled photographer who has vast experience in shooting National & International advertising campaigns for major clients and leading ad agencies throughout his career. He began his work in the film era, utilizing studio 10x8 and 5x4 cameras. Even today, he applies these core skills, capturing images digitally without relying on post-image manipulation, thus preserving the authenticity of his work.

With a history of commissioned photographic art, he now dedicates his time to creating art collections and aims to exhibit with Saatchi Art in the Autumn of 2024. His current collection focuses on the human form, using it as his canvas to craft meticulous visual narratives. These pieces celebrate the interplay of texture, paint, and the raw beauty of the human body. Each photograph captures the nuanced layers of artistry through the interplay of light and shadow, creating a mesmerizing tapestry of textures that evoke emotions and ignite the imagination.

Operating from his dedicated 1400sq ft studio near Hemel Hempstead, he plans the casting and shoot for his project there.

For his latest project, he seeks a single dancer who will be professionally body painted. The chosen dancer must be comfortable with nude photography and capable of holding specific poses. The photographer uses an unconventional technique involving painting with light that requires timed exposures.

To initiate the project, we are holding an audition/casting for the dancers. The audition will last about 1 hour where the photographer will take some test shots, with the dancer wearing a leotard. Once the test shots have been assessed and the dancer chosen for the shoot, it will then take place at the same studio on a later date.

The auditions will not attract a fee, but the chosen dancer for the main shoot can either be paid, or time for prints should the dancer prefer. Fees will be agreed between the photographer and the dancer prior to the shoot. Additionally, a signed model release form will be required.
