Cinematic & Dramatic Portraits with Sam Elson, March 21

Sam Elson will be with us on Saturday March 21 for this NEW, specialised workshop where we look at a range of lighting styles immortalised in cinema. We’ll use a range of setups with hard and soft light, carefully designed sets, wardrobe and gels to produce images with incredible colour and soul. This is a full day course with an educational angle and you'll go away with a new set of skills and an amazing set of images. We are keeping this limited to only 3 attendees, making sure you have maximum tutor time and a great shooting experience with Sam.

Sam is an incredible and versatile model, specialising in vintage/pinup/cinematic modelling - her hair & makeup skills are absolutely first-rate, so your images will look stunning. Her look is perfect for this kind of styled shooting and she's a wonderful person to work with. You can see more of her work on her website.

You’ll produce images including those in the style of the promo images seen below, and we'll shoot at least 4 different looks.

As with all our workshops, here’s what’s included:

• A huge range of furniture, props, custom backdrops etc;

• Lighting setups explained and organised, with you to change up as you see fit;

• Photoshop tuition and editing tips;

• A handbook of everything covered, so you don't forget what you've learned;

• Photoshop actions to help with your editing (for you to take away);

• A tethered studio environment, with tips on how to make tethering work for you;

• Elinchrom lighting (triggers supplied) and a range of Elinchrom modifiers (which, frankly, produce outstanding results);

• Ongoing support with editing after the workshop;

• Finally, a delicious lunch, unlimited refreshments all day, wifi and a very warm welcome!
