Portraiture: 'Silly is Sexy!' - **SILLY FACES WANTED FOR UNIQUE ARTWORK!**

Hi there,

I’ve *finally* started drawing again, having done a bit of life drawing that I arranged through a previous casting (references on the way!).

And now having blown away a few of the cobwebs with the sketching, I’m keen to get back into a bit of my beloved portraiture – So I’m asking for your help again!

What I want to do is create some beautiful portraits, in my usual charcoal-brushed style, and even perhaps laced with a few of my hidden tricks. But I want them to be extraordinary – Fun, characterful, and leaping off the page.

Unlike photography (generalising slightly here!) where flawless, unblemished faces, flooded with lighting & filters that smooth out all of the lines & features of a face, is desirable. I rather need the opposite. I need lines & shadows to give my portraits character – There should be something interesting going on in every square inch of the drawing.

So, I want your silly faces & expressions!

I want to take this opportunity, killing two birds with one stone, to also prove that looking ‘sexy’ is not all about seriousness, arrogance, and ‘Blue Steel’. I want to break from the narcissism and re-categorise it as something that’s fun, happy, and humble.

I want the silly faces, your weirdness, your personality, and let’s make the World fall in love with that instead! – Because for me: Silly is sexy; Humility is sexy; Personality is sexy. And I think we can link all of these things together, to create some truly outstanding art.

FYI: Also wouldn’t be against mixing in a little illustration, longer-term, perhaps bringing in suitable themes to marry with your personality (maybe you love food, love animals, love Christmas..??), and just get creative!

Happy to work on one-offs, or even build some long-term artist/model friendships.
