Can you shoot from home?

I really like that candid window in to life, however my surrounding are too familiar for me to be inspired plus it's quite busy and messy and being at the model's home would add more comfort and legitimacy to the narrative.  I'd like someone creative and whimsical who'd be happy blurring the lines between candid and set up shots, so more nodding towards abstract and every day activities than say boudoir and perfectly posed.  It's something that tends to look better analogue, so i'm thinking of using as much ambient and day light as possible with just basic flash techniques on camera (maybe a reflector and moving movable lights within the home around) and pushing the camera hard on higher ISO's (grainy, lower quality photos in lower light) to give it that real feel.
