Mr Dave

My first visit to the studio - Wow so much space, thanks to Sean for showing me around, think its still possible to get lost though...

Only had a two hour slot with Rachelle Summers on her studio day last Saturday, we produced some stunning images but only managed to use a very small fraction of the vast space over so many floors...

I was very impressed with the amount of natural light around, especially on the top floor.

So much opportunity with lots of creative little sets..

Hope I have the opportunity to shoot there again next year...

My third shoot at my favourite studio. When I learned that Pippa Doll would be in the area I knew exactly where I wanted to shoot with her. This is no ordinary studio as the images above will testify. So pleased with the results and as usual Sean was a great host. If you haven't shot here yet, you need to get that post code in your sat nav soon.

Obviously highly recommended.

What a great studio!

So so so many possibilities with a huge areas to shoot over many different sets and studios.

At at that price you really really can't go wrong.

Sean is a great bloke who took the time to show me round and made the odd cup of tea.

I'll be back again soon that for certain!

Just returned from a studio day at Art asylum in Weymouth.

Sean was very helpful in how to approach booking with the studio, directions and I felt very looked-after once I was there. Clearly its run from a love of photography, the place has a wide variety of sets to work in for natural or studio light and you'll be very warmly welcomed. Would come again.

What an awesome studio and location!

I've heard so many good things about Art Asylum and now myself can see why all these things have been said. Sean is a fab host, always making sure I was comfortable and I even got to shoot with this talented guy for a very quick shoot.

The location it's self has so much variety and some amazing natural light space aswell as a studio and some cool features. Very well equipped with all you need for a shoot and more.

I very highly recommend hiring this space!

I had a fantastic shoot the other day at the Art Asylum.

The place is awesome, large and expansive (got lost a couple of times :-)) and so many different possibilities you could shoot there many times and do something different each occasion.

Sean was a very welcoming and helpful host giving a guided tour to kick the day off with and then leaving us to it but always being on hand to answer any questions needed as well as supplying cups of tea which is always very appreciated!

I was there with a photographer friend of mine and we had a very productive day with two fabulous models and got lots of great images on a variety of the sets. I'll definitely be going back and would highly recommend the Art Asylum to everyone.

Cheers Sean :-)

Wow! A studio shoot like no other, yesterday. Art Asylum is an Aladdin's cave of photo locations, and I had the great pleasure of exploring it with georgian historian, Victoria Summers and Louisa Marie. I'm not sure I've been in a studio before where it's actually possible to get lost, but thanks to our delightful host Sean (and his numerous cups of tea) we not only survived the day but we all want to go back!

Highly recommended!

An Eye for Beauty

My first adventure at Art Asylum was a memorable one. I shared the time with Somersetman and 2 models, Victoria Summers and Louisa Marie. It is a rabbit warren of a venue with all sorts of different locations. For me the amount of areas with natural light was amazing. We were made very welcome and the whole time was relaxed. Worth a couple of hours drive, and I will certainly be back next year. Thanks, Sean!

Yes, as Louisa says - plenty of tea and coffee, and a variety of eating establishments just outside for the 'apres-shoot'. Parking very easy and near!

My second visit to this "studio" and I discovered new areas to shoot. Not your traditional studio (although it has a great infinity wall with various lighting) because of the huge expanse of other rooms, staircases, stairwells and brewery, Many areas with gorgeous natural light.

Sean is a really friendly and helpful host, nothing is too much trouble.

Looking forward to my third visit in the near future.

I had a great shoot at Art Asylum studios with Sean and Jane. The studio has lots of areas to shoot in...however the time passed so quickly we used only two during the shoot. A large range of props and outfits available if desired...

I shot with Sean and also Jane later in the day, both lovely people with their own ideas and made me feel comfortable throughout, in which some awesome images were created.

I would definitely recommend the studio to all models as it is the best studio I have shot at so far and as a model it is somewhere where I felt relaxed. I shall definitely be using the studio again in the future!

I had a great time at this studio, both standard infinity white wall (regularly painted) and set scenes including loads of props laying around for you. Great place, Sean is a great host, very much recommended.

Had a really great shoot at the Art Asylum studio on Saturday. The combination of a wonderful model and a great studio with some superb natural light areas, meant that I have come away with an excellent selection of images and I will have a difficult choice as to which ones are the best.

Had my first shoot at the Asylum and although I have vistited many many times this as I said was the first shoot, the photo side is run by Sean and I am sure Felix won't mind be called a prop building specialist !

Think the only word that fits is exceptional..the venue has something for everyone, facilities are like an epic adventure in a great way, tea/coffee/help if needed are always available, great people to meet and a great place to just visit as it is and exceptionaly well sited facility, just back from the harbour in the quay.....Do yourself a favour make this top of the list for your next shoot....Perfection

This was my first, but way too brief visit to the Art Asylum. Definitely my type of studio, offering so much scope to the photographer and model. I love the way you can shoot on a derelict looking location without having to watch over your shoulder.

Hoping that I can visit again soon but maybe for a whole day to use the studio to its full potential!!!! :D

This is a fantastic studio with so much variety on offer. A mix of a warehouse/brewery with oodles of natural light and a traditional studio with several pre-built sets. Great value and Sean is an extremely helpful host.

This won't be my last visit and I urge you to check it out.
